An April Day
By Longfellow
When the warm sun, that brings
Seed-time and harvest, has returned again,
T is sweet to visit the still wood, where springs
The first flower of the plain.
I love the season well,
When forest glades are teeming with bright forms,
Nor dark and many-folded clouds foretell
The coming-on of storms.
From the earth's loosened mould
The sapling draws its sustenance, and thrives;
Though stricken to the heart with winter's cold,
The drooping tree revives.
The softly-warbled song
Comes from the pleasant woods, and colored wings
Glance quick in the bright sun, that moves along
The forest openings.
When the bright sunset fills
The silver woods with light, the green slope throws
Its shadows in the hollows of the hills,
And wide the upland glows.
And when the eve is born,
In the blue lake the sky, o'er-reaching far,
Is hollowed out, and the moon dips her horn,
And twinkles many a star.
Inverted in the tide
Stand the gray rocks, and trembling shadows throw,
And the fair trees look over, side by side,
And see themselves below.
Sweet April! many a thought
Is wedded unto thee, as hearts are wed;
Nor shall they fail, till, to its autumn brought,
Life's golden fruit is shed.
I put the poem up because it's my inspiration for a name and it's a beautiful poem. I love every verse. I might use a poem for the summer...except I think I was doing the name of a song...
I put the picture of Edward up because...well, no reason, actually. :P He looks Spring-ish, though. And I like his clothes. :P
Well, thank you for reading!

Hey! Your characters are so down-to-earth, you did a good job. Ah, and yes poetry, love it. Maybe we should get together for a poetry reading/daydreaming time?! Don't you think?

Very nice chapter, so far that is. ;) I liked it, though there are a few sentences that need to be reworked. Read it outloud, and I'm sure you'll catch them. It just sounds a little odd and looks odd when reading it, that's all. There's nothing wrong with what you wrote. Good job! Keep it up!
Rose-That's fine, don't feel pressured to read it right yet.
Megan-YOU GOT AN ACCOUNT!!! *happydance*
Thank you for the complement. We should do something together sometime...
Fantasy-Thanks! I'll try and fix those. But it might be awhile, I'm super busy in school right now.
