Yet Another Story

I get the feel like writing in October a lot. >.>
 Especially *cough* this character *cough*.

*Snow drifted down; white flakes against an endless gray sky. No sound but the softly falling snow could be heard in that moment, but there was one thing, though silent, couldn't be avoided. Blood...there was blood in the snow. Ailith glanced down to see her brother, eyes closed, body limp, a curled up, scarlet-stained blotch in the perfectly white snow.
There was a soft breeze that chilled her as she realized what had happened. Kyle was dead.
Slowly, she stepped back from his lifeless form, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. Then, she stopped. A presence was felt behind her; she turned, hoping it might be someone who could explain what had happened.
A tall man, lanky, brunette, wearing tattered and bloody clothes, stood before her. His dirty jaw was set, with no expression, and as the freezing wind whispered, softly, soundlessly, his hair was blown from his clear gray eyes.
Hatred filled his cutting gaze, and though no words were said, she knew his hands were stained with the blood of the young man dead in front of her.
Ailith stepped back, fear taking over her. His relentless eyes continued to stare at her. She tried to run away, but her feet wouldn't respond; she opened her mouth to scream, and-*

*Ailith's eyes snapped open as the sound of her own shout awakened her. She breathed in and out for a few moments, then quickly took in her surroundings; dark room, someone breathing softly, the quiet sound of people talking below.
It had all been a dream; they were in the inn still and the person breathing was Kyle. Still, blood pounded in her ears and her breathing was panicked. After only a few moments more, she sat up, trying to settle her thoughts. The events of the dream wouldn't leave her mind, rather, she was involuntarily remembering events of the past; the image of Rurik's lifeless eyes, her last memory of home, flashed through her mind, and suddenly a sob welled up in her throat. She tried to contain it, but it was far too powerful, and though she told herself it was just a dream, over and over, a tear still slipped down her cold cheek. One after another fell, until she found herself weeping as quietly as she could in the dark room.*

Posting three times in a row would just be too much, though...
Very minor editing, btw.

Don't Cry for Me

Don't cry for me.

She looks up, the tears running down her cheeks. No one is there, and the sounds of people in the streets continue. A shout, a call, and an animal's cry, all come through the open window and grace her ears with the knowledge that the whole world is moving on without her. No one knows her pain in full.

 Don't cry for me.

The golden sunlight creeps over the floorboards, bathing the room in the light of an otherwise perfect day. But her heart is torn.
One last attempt to keep herself. One last attempt to rebuild those walls around herself. One last attempt to find kindness through her own. And it's thrown away.

"Why?" She chokes out, before burying her face in her hands again. She's young now. She doesn't realize what else is in store for her; how much this time will strengthen her in the future.
That's what the older girl thinks, as stoop to peep through the crack in the attic door. Part of her feels for the younger. There is something in her tears that she relates to, something she can understand fully.
Yet the younger girl was so foolish. How could she stretch out her hand to someone who was bound to swat it away?
The older brushes her black hair behind an ear as she stands up. Knowing that comforting the other won't help, she makes her way down the stairs.
 "Is she coming?" He asks.
 "No. She's not."

The younger opens her eyes to find she had fallen asleep. Darkness had settled. She turned to the window to close the shutters, and as she looks up she beholds the sky. Stars, billions of them, all blinking and winking down at her.
I'll never let this happen again.
Is the quiet thought that enters her mind. She's surprised by her own boldness. Never?
 Never. Never again.

Decisions...

She stood on the balcony, looking up at the stars. The entire countryside was quiet, like a room after someone has just passed away. The only sound was that of the crickets, singing the song of the world continuing on, not heeding her solitary pain and confinement.
She fingers the knife, thinking of the different choices she has. Be trapped forever, unified to one who will not care at all for her own interests, or be free from it all, leaving the only person she has left behind in this world.
Not a person could have heard his alighting on the scaffolding, and she did not hear him either, but rather felt the presence of one she had lost. For a moment, the person detains her in sealing her fate.
“Why do you linger here, young man? Did she send you?”
No reply but the steady chirping and the softest breeze. She wonders for just a moment if she is imagining the tingling on her spine, but suddenly he speaks. It is a deep, quiet sound, and she can picture his lips forming the words, although she does not dare turn to him.
“It will be inconvenient if you jumped; a broken body does not suit a beautiful wedding gown.”
“I will not jump.”
“And knives are only fitting in the hands of one such as she.”
“Of course. I do not plan to commit murder tomorrow, though I may tonight.”
“You shall not. I do not wish to interrupt non-existent wedding ceremonies.” He whispers, his hand slinking over and taking the dagger from her hands. She willingly lets him have it; she has nothing more to gain, nor lose.
“I am against all wedding ceremonies, but if you must have your way, my friend, then by all means...” She trails off, her next statement unnecessary. The wind rustles his clothing; loose folds of the deepest, darkest red, coordinated with black that cries of death. Her hair is tied up in a tight bun, else she would run her fingers through it in frustration, but instead she grips the necklace about her neck. In the quiet moment, memories of long ago are awakened, and words from dreams past echo inside her mind...I haunt your dreams. I am in your head and only awakened by your loneliness...And I won't leave you. I'll grant your greatest desire and never, never leave...

Join me...The voice whispers now. The ground looms below her.
“Do not have second thoughts.” The figure says, and she turns to him. To her greatest surprise, he does not move, but continues to look off into the distance, stock-still in the starlight. Only a dark shape is his face, but she can map out every feature without any light to go by.
A breath in, a breath out, they stand in contrast, neither willing to leave, nor willing to let the other know how desperately they are struggling. He turns, stepping up on the railing. His foot rests there for a moment, and she stares at him, waiting. Will he leave, will he stay, the question hangs in the air, unspoken, but well understood.
“I will not be ruled by anyone; neither him, nor you, nor that woman.”
“I know.” He answers, a trace of his true self leaking through as he casts a look down at the ground. Then, in an instant he has blended into the surrounding blackness, a phantom of him still lingering in her vision.

Rainy Evenings In France

She stared out the window into the rainy twilight. A storm had just passed, cooling the warm summer air to a comfortable temperature. Down in the garden below her window fireflies were flying up from the ground, blinking silently among the leaves of the dark apple tree. Amidst all the red roses was a single orange one, washed by the rain and swaying lazily in the breeze. Ailith could still hear the thunder in the distance and she thought that maybe another storm was coming through the area.
Laughter broke the silence; which wasn't really silence due to the mewing of a cat, squealing of a few pigs across the street and the ballad of a minstrel in the bar below her room. But the laughing caught Ailith's attention, and she turned to see a girl with chocolate brown, curly hair walking arm-in-arm with a boy who appeared to be cracking jokes with her. He pointed toward the garden and her face suddenly grew serious as he walked over and picked one of the small purple violets growing in the stone wall. He presented the violet to her, shaking a stray strand of blond hair out of his face as he did so. It was a simple motion, but obviously pleased the girl even more than the violet, because she laughed as she wiped her hands on her dark red dress and took the flower. Fitting it in her hair, she took his arm once more. They continued down the street, and Ailith heard her exclaiming-"Caelan! That's not funny!" but laughing all the same.
It began to drizzle a few minutes later, and Ailith found herself hoping it wouldn't ruin the evening stroll of the two laughing teens. She even found herself wishing that she could be doing the same somewhere; laughing and strolling along with her friends. The image of those she had lost crept into her mind, but the lightning flashed and thunder clapped loudly at that moment, the downpour that followed clearing her mind to the nothingness that it was beforehand. Ailith turned away and headed back downstairs; Kyle would be wondering where she was.

Ramble there. ^.^; Gotta love my writing, though. An idea I came up with a while back. Just filled it out a bit and Voila!
Anyways, it has been raining a lot in my area. It feels like fall! ^.^ I wrote that about summer, though, but it's still rain! XD I've got my grandparent's keyboard and am enjoying practicing on it. It's fun...but I like the touch of a piano better. >.<
I've been sort-of brainstorming on an idea for a picture, but it currently hasn't come to anything except more questions about details. I also feel like writing in the RP, because this was the kind of weather last year that I thought the most about the RP, and around the same time, too. I'm really ready for fall. :)
Well, nothing much else to say!

Saturdays...

Normally, I dislike them b/c there is nothing to do but clean. But this time, we did something. ^.^
Sir_Furious came over for a visit with his mom and sister. XD We had a good time, so on, so forth. I wish my other bros had been here to talk w/ him, too, but alas, twas not to be.
Other than that, I thank the Lord that I was able to get the house clean on time (w/ my mom's help!) and get to see them. :)

A few drawings I have done over the past week.

Gris to the left-Drawn from a picture of his creator. I tweaked a few things so that it would be more like Gris, but overall it looks the same. Post-return from absence, he is wearing a cloak. After I clean it up a bit, things will be clearer. It's a very thoughtful picture; Gris is staring out over a field, his arms over the fence. I am debating cutting all that grass and instead making it a harvest time picture, even if it does take extra effort. I do believe I am beccoming more courageous w/ backgrounds...what do you know...   The original picture of Sir_F is to the right. He gave me permission. ^.^

Raven and Beast Boy! From Teen Titans. I love them as a pairing...drew this after watching the episode "The Beast Within". Personally, I like how it turned out; BB's stance is very IC, Raven's a little less so, but if BB were shouting that, I think she'd be blushing a little and looking a bit uncomfortable, yet impressed by such a gallant statement. ^.^; A little of the original lines and stuff are still there, I'm sorry I didn't have time to erase them. I liked drawing BB's suit...it was so much fun to draw such a gangly and stringy little guy after all my efforts to draw these tall, broad and muscular guys...I liked doing a short, normal-looking gangly little guy. lol

It has come to my attention that you can't read my poem at the top of this blog very well. I apologize for that, but I also have to say that I'm not changing the color so that it's more readable. I like the purple, it matches well, and this crazy artist won't settle for any other. Because of that, I'll post it here, as well.

Well...not much else to say except that I hope the beginning of next week is nice and cold. I want to wear some of the clothes that my mom and I bought at Goodwill yesterday. :D

Done!

Done cleaning at Dad's office. Ah, feels nice to have finished. And yes, I am on his secretary's computer. XD

I am definitely excited about the Reformed Family Bible Conference coming up in June. I can't wait for summer to officially be here, too.

So...yeah. Nothing much has been going on. We made candy last night. It was watermelon flavored. Pictures when I get home. :)

I've been writing. Perhaps I'll post what I've written at some point. My Dad put OpenOffice on Mom's computer, so I have had a program to write with. I've done character profiles for both Perekin and Talfryn Leclair, and as soon as I can finish cleaning my room today, I'll be writing up one for Ailith, too.

So, yeah. Is it just me, or am I writing this post to no audience? Yeah, I thought so. Blogger world is dead, people. I miss getting comments. T.T

Valentine's Day?

Well, I'm too young to be wanting a significant other quite yet, so I don't really want chocolate or something from a boy on Valentine's.

I wanna stuff snow down the back of his shirt. Yeah, that's what I'm interested in.

Let's hope it's sunny Sunday, so we can really have a good snowball fight. :P

With quite a bit of slush. Mwuahahahaha...

Anyway, I have been drawing like a mad-woman for the past two months, but have forgotten to post any of the pics.

I gotta change that someday...actually, it's my Valentine ambition to draw Ailith so much that I will be able to have a group pic done by March. Then I MUST do this pic for the awesomely patient Nate. He's been waiting for several months now. Argh.

Then there's another of Katell that I really must do for Sir_F....I told him I couldn't a few weeks ago, but now I'm feeling bad about turning down that awesomely patient person, as well.

Adrian on the left, Kyle below.

Two handsome teenagers.

Then Zechs. I copied this picture.

Gris below.

Chibi Gris and Kyle arguing. Love drawing Chibis...♥

Gris again, smiling. I'd never drawn him smiling before, so I decided to try it.My little sister, Lillian.

And at the very top of the post is an embarrassed Gris blushing.
Btw, if you have a Facebook, I am on there and upload pics there more often than here.
