Circular saws, Nerf and Happy Birthday Bro!

So! Today and yesterday have been...a big deal, to say the least. My bro, The Confederate, wanted to have Cyll and Nate over for his fourteenth birthday, so that's what we did!
Yesterday we went to pick Nate up at 11:00AM. Coming home around twelve, I started on dishes while they headed to Lowes to get stuff for my mom's raised bed gardens out back (summer project). Afterwards, I went out back to help her cut the boards and nail/screw together said planks to form some less than perfect boxes. Okay, so I have this fear of circular saws.

A circular saw from Black and Decker. Idk where ours is from.

There's a reason for this. One, I don't like electric blades of any sort. The malfunctions that can happen with elecricity are too numerous. Two, one of my favorite cartoon voice actors, Aaron Dismuke, ran a circular saw about an inch up his hand; in the part between the first finger and thumb. He was making a shelf in his grandmother's basement and it kicked back. That is, believe it or not, one of the CREEPIEST things on earth to me. XD

Anyway, we had to use a circular saw on the 2x4's and it definitely freaked me out enough when it kicked to make me incredibly energized by the time Cyll got there. Afterwards was craziness of Nerf, then FINALLY lunch (@ 3PM!). Afterwards I practiced piano, went back outside and played soccer (which gave me a nice scratch and several bruises) and then made...four? five? six? pizzas, all monster size. Mom handled about half the toppings, while I made dough, rolled out several of them, and topped about two. You would think *that* would be a good experience...Oh, no. Then we went up to the church to play Nerf zombie's...
In.
The.
Dark.

It.
Was.
Epic.

Especially when we all tackled Avery in the front window while these four guys with dogs looked on...I think they thought we were crazy...but we're teenagers. What else can we say?
At about 9:15PM we headed home for showers...and mom had some brush to burn in the backyard. Gradually, all of us but sleeping Daddy made our way outside to watch the bonfire. And, since our locks are weird, we managed to get ourselves locked out. Not a window unlocked. Not a door open. No key hidden anywhere. Darkness setting in. Fire burning low. >.< Needless to say, my imagination went a little wild. Though, my admiration for a few people's skills in organization and leadership in such a situation was increased.
By the end, we just tapped on Daddy's second-story window with a long pole until he woke up and opened the door. He was VERY grouchy. XD So finally we made it inside. I took a shower, then got my comp for a little down-time. Then I knocked out to sleep.
This morning I woke up at about 10. Coming down stairs, I sat down in the den and listened to my mom read her Bible out loud. Then Cyll came in and we sat down for a long discussion between all of us...on some very fascinating topics, lol. Afterwards, Mom, Lilly, Simon and myself all went in the playroom to watch Tangled. The boys meandered in and out, taking turns in their multiplayer game (I live in a house of gamers, all save my dad, and all my guy-friends are gamers. Help me someone. :P-Defeated cry of a girl trying to survive with gamers).
Then I went upstairs again to my comp, once more seeking solitude (I'm a quiet sort of person). After that, I talked to Mom for a while and then watched a bit of a game of Risk. Mostly it was just Cyll and I fooling around. >.< We do that sort of thing rather often. :P
Generally, I never want to forget these two days. They were crazy, yes...but really, really fun. :)

Now...the house feels very quiet! :( Oh, well. I'll try to get some writing done now and then practice piano. Plus, I got some schoolwork to do! XD

Saturday!

So I'm listening to music and writing in my Sigma 6 fanfiction story. I'm actually half-way through...still have a ways because of the ever-increasing plot, but overall I think I'll be done within two months. :D But anyway, today was THE BEST Saturday! I got laundry done for me, my sister and my bros, cleaned my room, made pizza for supper, tied up a gazillion loose ends, called my big brother on the phone and found my colored pencil box. Ooooh, I'm so happy!

Now my bros are watching Spiderman, lol. I love the animated Spiderman. Its so cute. =3

Generally, my week was incredibly interesting. I mostly sat around until yesterday, which ended up to be the most emotionally trying day of the week. Basically, I had to meet up with some family that I'm not on good terms with and ended up getting almost manipulated into committing to some stuff I didn't want to commit to. But at the end of the day things turned out okay. :)

EDIT:Posting this on Sunday because Saturday I got busy. XD Today was also good, albeit a bit detached on my part. XD So, yes. Maybe I'll have somehting more interesting to say later this week! lol

Sunburnt!

Yet oh so happy! Today was amazing! We all went down to a friend's farm to help them with their goats...they have four almost new babies; Clara (white), Heidi (white), Charlotte (black) and Ryan (brown). I'm sorry...but baby miniature goats are just. too. cute. Especially Ryan...I wanted to hold him forever and give him lots of kisses. He already has these little, itty bitty horns coming up, but you cant see them through his fur. He has little black 'boots' and a black stripe down his back and SO adorable. =3
After helping with the goats we went down and explored the creek...then back up to the miniature horse-pin (everything they have is so little and cute, hahaha), and back away again to the pond. There we waded in our boots for a while before deciding it looked much to inviting on such a hot day and went wading barefoot in the sandy parts. XD It was so fun to sit with our feet dangling off the dock, toes skimming the cold water, watching the little kids splash around. Sadly, I got sunburnt, but overall we had a wonderful time. (Welsh people burn very easily, you know!)

After that I headed to piano lessons. My teacher drove me home because it was beginning to rain and the wind was blowing SUPER strongly. For a moment, I stood on the front porch and thought-Oh, wow! This sure is beautiful!
The wind was blowing my bangs in my eyes, my hood all around my face. The rain was softly beating against my bare legs while I clutched the necklace about my neck. So cool!
Now I'm all cosy at my computer, listening to wind, rain and the normal noises around my house, talking with one of my best friends about many things...some deep, important issues, and others light and rather simple to figure out.
And, to spite all the pros and cons, I can't help but think how greatly blessed I am. Makes me happy. :)

Slow moving...

So, DST has me all mixed up today! >.< Had a good time talking with my friend-We're going to do a photo shoot together next time we meet! I'm excited. XD

I'm listening to the song What If by Safetysuit lately..can't say anything for the group, since I haven't listened to any of their other songs, but 'What If' is really touching when set to Itachi and Sasuke...also, it reminds me of certain friendships.
They do want something that makes you sad...something that might be dangerous, even if it's for the good of others, but still...you can't help but feel sad. The prospect of losing contact with them, or actually losing them, is scary.

At least it's good to know that we can always call upon the Lord! ^.^

No matter what, He does hear prayers! I always am comforted when I realize that. So very often I have fears that I'm going to be alone oneday, without anyone to help me or be friends with me, no one to talk my troubles over with, and no shoulders to cry on. But I know that...
1.
6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.-Psalm 86 KJV (Sermon was on Psalm 86 today, btw!)

And 2...He IS my Friend. My greatest Friend. :) And worrying like that is simply selfish. Yes, I said it!!! O.O The 'S' word!!! lol But seriously! Worrying about ME being alone and all by myself isn't thinking about others...there are a lot of people right now that are very lonely.

So I take comfort in that. Doesn't change the fact that I love the song! >.<  Ah, serious note. Do be in prayer for the Japanese...this has been devastating! I pray that through this, though, they would come to realize who rules this universe, and who commands the waters. They really need Him.

Well, today was really, really warm....I am almost convinced that Spring will actually eventually peek out from under Winter and show it's pretty face. Until then...on the warm days, I'll put on a short-sleeved shirt and dance in the sun, and on the cold ones I'll grab some hot chocolate and my ever-warm netbook...sometimes I worry that he's overheating or something because we both generate so much warmth..between us, ain't no cold we cannot defeat! :P

Ahem. If you read this post, thanks. :) You have been awarded the badge of tolerating......a very bouncy thought-process, to say the least!

Poem of Autumn and Winter

Just finished making cookies. I had thought of a good blog post, but then I kinda forgot what it was and am now just sitting here, staring at the white, wasting my time.

I'm hopeless!

Ah, I'm listening to Stolen by Dashboard Confessional right now...such a beautiful song, and conveying my feelings about Spring so acurately. Now, I wish I could find a Winter song that is as beautiful as this one!

I remember when I sat up in the hallway and listened to Stolen over and over again...it was just magical, as magical as when after Conference 2009 I listened to Clean Up Your Eyes by the Dykeenies over and over...just remembering what I had done and how much pure fun I had had.

I love summertime and springtime, but I want to be able to remember and love Autumn, too. I think the song that has conveyed September this year is Cry by Mandy Moore. October? I'm not sure; I guess something about the beach! Then, of course, November...I don't have a song for Autumn yet, I suppose! I'll keep looking! Maybe something beautiful will show up!

I wrote a poem about Autumn, here it is-

Bursting with color
I can't believe what he brings me
Baskets of wishes
And the possibilities that be

He greets me with a smile
He is one of my best friends
And holds out his hand for a while
Till the bright daylight ends

His sweater is tied
Around his middle
His t-shirt is tie-died
Red and stained a little

His hair is the color of fire
His eyes a playful green
I know my situation is dire
For his motifs cannot be seen

Taps on my window, never my door
Though I know he'll eventually go
The running and hiking will not be a bore
I'll muse upon it when the wind does blow

The coldest wind sweeps in from the West
Sending snow in, and chills up my spine
The sprite from before who seemed like the best
No longer lingers in this life of mine

I wonder, where has he gone?
The happy and bright
Fun-loving, carefree, thoughtful one
Fading from sunset into night

So while I stand in the cold and freeze
No longer a gentle nip,
The moment he does seize
To whisper of Autumn, just a bit

And even though the leaves are gone
Crunching under my boot-clad feet
He still manages to whistle a light song
And I am so glad we were able to meet

Autumn is playful to me. So disappointing to some, but to me...ah, he plays with my very heart. One day is bright, warm and enchanting, the next cold and dreary and sometimes so lonely...but each moment is so special, no matter the happiness or heartbreak. So I wrote this like a love story. Kinda. XD Autumn is also the month of my birthday. I though about writing this about another girl, but please...only women as seasons is just...too stereotypical for me! ^.^

Ah, even if things do seem hard right now, I'm excited about the rest of the year!!!!  December sounds hopeful...
We didn't get to see the meteors for my birthday, but we'll hopefully get to go in December, so that's one reason why I'm so excited! ^.^

Under Orion May Your Memory Ring True

The night air is chilling
Stars and moon are thought-stilling

A single star shines very bright
Upon whom her thoughts do alight

But she longs only for a friend
Sweet perfume on a darkened wind

Because light only glimmer with hope
When with their descisions you can cope

Leaning in, she needs you now
Before this throne she cannot bow

Only half the cry you hear
And she wished things could be made clear
*
Lonesome longing
For one seemingly lost
Silently begging
That he won't pay any cost

Pointless worry
Time will stand in place
Never say sorry
A blank look on my face

Her heart still flies
But she ties it down
For fear of those lies
That make you frown

Black on white the song
Of thoughtful love yet remorse
Though you can sing along
I'm still trying to see, of course

Oh, leave me, sweet regret!
Go, jealous envy
I will not be caught in that net
And nothing gained, you see

A sparkling treasure
Sitting under the sand
Brighter than the gold
Of all the land

Burning horizon
Dreams, please come true?
The constellation of Orion
Is coming into veiw

Run, run, fast as you can
A destination is on your mind
Do not stop, not for any man
And never look behind

Let her smile guide you
Just for this short moment, tonight
Understand her heart is true
Her sympathy is for your plight
*
She sees the sky, so great a height
Embellished with clouds by the day
And stars of diamond by the night

She sees a jagged fissure
Where the earth has cracked
Broken by the pressure

Look! Fool, there is broken glass
Consider who's at fault
And find some warmth at last

I'll try hard to hold on
It's a few weeks soon coming
And this is almost gone

When moonshadows are dimly cast
And Orion above us
We'll shoot back into the good of the past.

The style of ^this^ poem changes...hum, three times throughout. A muse, I suppose, since it is so very long.

For We Have Become Minstrels (or A Penny, A Quarter)

Do you know what laughing is
Yes, I know and it is this

A great and full; bursting moment
To be in the presence of not one lament

Even his faults are all kissed by the sun
And our spirits toward the sky horizon run

Where is the vast sky, can it be named well?
So this depth is like the blue; trust you cannot sell

The brightness of this day is more than I
And through the clarity of the horizon pearls I spy

Floating on invisible waves, reflecting the sun’s light
You can stare at them for years, till you increase in height

Time and stature, yet we’re still with hope
And with the changes of life we’ll cope

A family of travelers upon the road
Playing our instruments and searching for abode

A penny, a quarter, a flower for miss
And a long, happy strain that they call bliss

Then the deepness of your river is enhanced by two
And the world doesn’t always spin around you

But we never had to tell him, he always knew
That darkness is waiting for me and for you

Hark, oh night of blackness and silence!
We will not be hindered by your evil-hearted vengeance

Our family ties are strong, they bind us together
Nothing can take us, never oh never

Till the light shining on the rocky side
Is reflected by the incoming tide

While you stare up at the pearls as the ships leave the land
And I sit close by and draw pictures on the sand

The birds take flight and he writes a song
And the little girl and boy rather play than sing along

The women and men walk down the shore
And the eldest of us are still looking for more

But we’re the most content than we ever could be
In our cove of goodwill, out by the sea

Wondering if the bonds will ever go away
And hoping to stay for another day

As I said on Facebook-

A cookie to the first person that can tell me what the pearls are in this verse-

The brightness of this day is more than I

And through the clarity of the horizon pearls I spy

And I guess another cookie to who can tell me what this one means-

Then the deepness of your river is enhanced by two

And the world doesn’t always spin around you

ENJOY!!! Sorry I don't post very often-life is hectic and frustrating-not VERY bad stuff, but still hard. And if you understand all of the stuff in these poems, or most of it, then you are either crazy, know a lot about me and my stargazing tendencies, or are a big part of the subject. :) I doubt many understand fully, so don't dare feel bad if you don't...you aren't supposed to! ^.^

I have finished Baccano!, btw, and it's very good! I love the English dub of it-Accents are so cool. Still working on Cowboy Bebop.

Also, expect a total blog makeover soon...Fall is almost here!!!

Poem of the Days Before Summer

It's beautiful, spring is. The brilliant, colorful flags of the heralds before Summer comes marching in full array of horses and men with their bright, flashing armor. :P You make weird allegories when you've spent several hours playing knights with your brothers.

Well, I wrote a poem about spring. It's not yet titled very well...so I won't worry about that. :)

The houses fly by
As freely down the road we fly

Happy chatter, almost there
Blooming trees are everywhere

Strawberries, they always seem
Much tarter with vanilla ice-cream

Friends are here, as we ate
A spider sits above our plates

Snakes ans spiders, coming out
Reminds me of something to talk about

Drag along, and try not to run
Warmest room, brimming over with sun

Talk of things that we enjoy
Crazy, fun-filled kids, two girls and a boy

Hours pass, let's go outside
Teasing with laughter 'till we die

Violets picked in the evening like,
Birds alight in homeward flight

Learning much, loving more
As a friend slips out the door

Sun is gone over the hill
Nighttime breeze, the world goes still

Go inside to escape the cold
Wonder at the wilted flowers you hold

Smell the flower, spicy-sweet
And suddenly the day becomes complete

The stars make a picture in the sky
Looking down at me as my heart does cry

Just a minute more, to spend in this spring
This day has been such a mysterious thing

I wish to go, yet wish to stay
Alas, I just wish for another happy day

More foolish moments, there will be some
But simple joys shall always come

One last moment, a touch and a laugh.

AND THAT'S IT!!! :) Loved writing that thing...now, if I could squeeze out those feelings of overwhelming nostalgia that I feel when I hear the train go by. T.T

Argentia ♥

P.S. Violetta, I wish I knew how to speak Italian. I would write my poem in that language so you understand. T.T Someday I will learn. :)

Sweet Summer

Will it come soon? I'm counting down the days till June 21st...counting down the days until Summer is officially here. But you know what? I pretty much call Spring an 'Early Summer'.
Btw, sorry guys, I'm a sun shining, sweating like crazy, Gatorade-chugging, Popsicle licking, playing soccer, swimming, watermelon eating Summer FREAK. I love it. I even spent two hours making a calender to count down to June 21st. It's all colorful and stuff.
So I do believe my blog colors are getting changed. And the name has got to change too. I wish I could name it 'Barefoot Boy' after a poem I read, but I'm not a boy. :P Maybe I should call it Whisper of The Heart, after the movie.

But anyway...my art is having trouble. It's annoying. :P

There is only one problem. I don't want Allen-kun to go AWAAAAYYYY!

Gomen. Please forgive the otaku fangirl.

An April Day and Story

An April Day
By Longfellow

When the warm sun, that brings
Seed-time and harvest, has returned again,
T is sweet to visit the still wood, where springs
The first flower of the plain.

I love the season well,
When forest glades are teeming with bright forms,
Nor dark and many-folded clouds foretell
The coming-on of storms.

From the earth's loosened mould
The sapling draws its sustenance, and thrives;
Though stricken to the heart with winter's cold,
The drooping tree revives.

The softly-warbled song
Comes from the pleasant woods, and colored wings
Glance quick in the bright sun, that moves along
The forest openings.

When the bright sunset fills
The silver woods with light, the green slope throws
Its shadows in the hollows of the hills,
And wide the upland glows.

And when the eve is born,
In the blue lake the sky, o'er-reaching far,
Is hollowed out, and the moon dips her horn,
And twinkles many a star.

Inverted in the tide
Stand the gray rocks, and trembling shadows throw,
And the fair trees look over, side by side,
And see themselves below.

Sweet April! many a thought
Is wedded unto thee, as hearts are wed;
Nor shall they fail, till, to its autumn brought,
Life's golden fruit is shed.

I put the poem up because it's my inspiration for a name and it's a beautiful poem. I love every verse. I might use a poem for the summer...except I think I was doing the name of a song...

I put the picture of Edward up because...well, no reason, actually. :P He looks Spring-ish, though. And I like his clothes. :P

Well, thank you for reading!

Spring...

"What does snow become when it melts?"
"Do you think I'm some kind of idiot?"

"It will become 'water' of course."
"Wrong. It becomes "spring"!"

-Fruits Basket, Chapter 12.

This is my favorite phrase in Fruits Basket. And it is strange and wonderful that this actually happened this week. At the beginning of March, it snowed. And then one week later, it's 72 degrees and sunny. So when the snow melted, it became spring!

Oh, Hatori's story is so sad. But I won't go on and on about him, because I could probably take up a whole post :P.
No, the real reason of this post was the fact that I need a spring name for my blog. Spring will officially be here March 21 or something, so I would really like to have a few ideas for the name before Spring does get here.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
-Autumn
